whoo! two in two days. we’re back in action bitches.

Note: So I guess it’s called Sound Of Silence cause Mediafire wouldn’t let me change the file name. It’s a very stupid name, so pretend it’s Al and Al’s Alfinite Playal.
Note 2: I think Mediafire will give you all the songs out of order. So please reorganize it. I may have done it poorly, but I still sequenced it.
1. Magazine-Song From Under The Floorboards. So the original theme of this was gonna be music my parents listen to, but I wanted to put some 80s on here so it became music older than me. Like this slice of 80s.
2. Husker Du-Don’t Wanna Know If You Are Lonely. Speaking of 80s, This song is pretty good. A lot of people say the 3 great American Indie Bands of the 80s are REM, The Replacements, and these guys. And I’m all like what’s REM doing there?
3. Rolling Stones-I Am Waiting. While it is a looser theme than before, but I still want to keep some Dad-friendly music on here. Plus I like this song.
4. Yo La Tengo-Drug Test. Not even close to the best YLT song, but I love this band too much not to have them on here. 1989 is still older than me!
5. New Order-Temptation. Sooooooooooo 80s. Most New Order is too much for me, this song is pretty good though, as long as your willing to tolerate the 80s to some extent.
6. The Go-Betweens-Cattle And Cane. I got a boxed set of 80s college rock one Christmas, and this was on it. I really like it, but I haven’t heard anything else by The Go -Betweens.
7. Nico-These Days. God this song is awesome.
8. John Lennon-Jealous Guy. This mix is a lot softer looking back than it was in the cutting room. Sorry for boring you guys.
9. Smith-Baby It’s You. I did not mistype, this is not the Smiths. This is a solid song though. The Beatles covered it, but not as well in my opinion.
10. Tom Waits-In The Neighborhood. The beauty of Tom Waits is everybody has a different favorite song of his. Also, a lot of people don’t like anything he does. Whatever.
11. Cat Stevens-Here Comes My Baby. This song is really fun, and really Rushmore.
12. The Pixies-River Euphrates. Why Pixies haters (you know who you are!) be hatin is beyond me.
13. David Bowie-Queen Bitch. This is the best David Bowie song in my opinion. I’ve heard it so much I don’t even enjoy it anymore.
14. The Beatles-For No One. Yeah, everyone’s heard every Beatles song a hundred times. Well there’s a reason for that.
15. Simon And Garfunkel-Sound Of Silence. This song didn’t make the Graduate perfect, but it sure helped. Anyone who hasn’t seen it, please see it.
16. The Faces-Ooh La La. This mix has five songs from Wes Anderson movies. It’s a good thing I put in some 80s, otherwise I’d just be compiling the music for his next movie. Spoiler alert: It’s about an affluent, neurotic, depressed white guy who’s dissatisfied with life and the complicated relationships with the other affluent white guys in his life. He meets a girl he has no right to love and falls in love with her, but it doesn’t work out. The ending is just some weird, charming, borderline nonsequiter. Owen Wilson and Bill Murray are in it.
17. Richard Hell And The Voidoids-Blank Generation. I love this song. There’s a number of ways to take it, I see it as a song about a teenager who hates being a teenager and hates all the other teenagers, cause it’s comforting.
18. The Replacements-Can’t Hardly Wait (Tim Version). I bought the CD this song came on only for this song. I hate the main version of this song because they go overboard on the horns and don’t rock hard enough.
There you go. Songs older than me.
